REM’s Analysis of Digestive Health Research in Canada
REM has performed an extensive evaluation of the impact of digestive health research in Canada. Recently published in the Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology, the study by Tuitt et al. evaluated, among other things, the Hirsch factors for over 100 Canadian digestive health researchers. The figure at left summarizes the H factors for researchers at 10 universities. Shown on the figure are the mean, minimum and maximum H factors for each university. The red line shows the mean for the entire database. The H factors in this figure were calculated using publications only from the years 2000 through 2010.
